What is Transfer Molding?

Transfer molding is comparable to injection molding and can be thought as a simplified variation of injection molding. The main differences between transfer and injection molding are in the processes. Injection and transfer molding both push the material into a mold through a sprue. However, transfer molding uses a plunger instead of a screw to “inject” the resin.
